The Lasting Hope, a Christian pop-rock band out of southern Indiana, formed in 2010 with a desire to reach the lives of others through their high energy music ministry. The band is uniquely formed by four young and very talented men: Logan Oakes on lead vocals and guitar, Craig Banister on guitar and vocals, Tanner Marling on bass, and Braxton Comer on drums. These men have been traveling the country since 2010 sharing the hope that is found in Jesus Christ. They have had the privilege to share the stage with artists: TobyMac, Mandisa, MercyMe, Sanctus Real, 7eventh Time Down, Ryan Stevenson, Carrollton, Jason Gray, Disciple, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and Manic Drive, among others.
The Lasting Hope's second release, an EP titled, Sunsets and Second Chances, produced by Mark Lee Townsend (Relient K, Owl City, House of Heroes), reflects experiences both band members and fans can relate to; from the desire to escape from the stresses of life to the heartbreak of the end of a relationship. Something New and Lifeline both entered the Top 20 on the Billboard Christian Rock National Airplay Chart. Something New peaked at #5.
